Baby Loss Remembrance memorials is a national programme launched by Life in 2018 to support women, men, and families affected by baby loss:

  • Miscarriage
  • Abortion
  • Stillbirth
  • Pregnancy loss of any kind

According to statistics from the government, more than 2,000 parents lose a baby … every single day.

And that doesn’t count any friends and family who are affected as well.

These people are in your parish and local community.

Baby Loss Awareness Week 2021 #BLAW2021

October 2021

Baby Loss Awareness Week takes place every year in October to raise awareness of baby loss in the UK.

We’ve developed special resources to help churches support those affected by baby loss by getting involved in Baby Loss Awareness Week.

These free resources are here to help you compassionately and confidently address the issue of baby loss. Parish priests who are concerned about the pastoral implications of baby loss have let us know that these resources are a sensitive and effective way of engaging with people who’ve lost a baby.
